National FLL Registration

Registration usually opens in early May and ends in late September. To register your team and get started, you can go to the official FLL registration website at gofll.usfirst.org. Please follow the steps presented on the website.

Illinois FLL Tournament Series Registration

Every Illinois team that registers with FIRST and the Illinois FLL Tournament Series (cost: $65) is assigned to a regional qualifying tournament. Qualifying tournaments typically consist of 10 to 16 teams that compete in all categories for the ability to advance to the state tournament. Approximately 64 of these teams go on to the state tournament. These tournaments are held in December. Only qualifying tournaments that are sponsored by INSciTE Illinois are considered official tournaments and can lead to participation in the Illinois State Tournament and possible post-season events such as the World Festival. Registration for the Illinois FLL Tournament Series opens in August.

After your national registration is processed, you will be invited to sign up for the Illinois FLL email group to get information about the tournaments and procedures that will be used in Illinois. This e-mail group is our sole means of distributing information to the hundreds of teams in Illinois. It is critical that you join this group if you want to participate in any of our activities including scheduled competitions. We highly recommend that you have two people sign up for this group so information is not missed.
