Scholarships

INSciTE Illinois concentrates on the Inspiration of Science and Technology for youth, primarily through exciting technology programs that grab the attention of youth. A this time our focus is on FLL. While INSciTE Illinois is not aimed at any specific group, there is an effort to encourage broad participation in science and technology, particularly in groups that are underrepresented in science and technology such as ethnic groups and women.

INSciTE Illinois is currently looking for situations where it can provide seed money to encourage the participation of underrepresented youth on a sustained basis. The ideal situation would be for a qualifying team to get adult support for mentoring (coaches) and a commitment in future years for funding and continued mentoring support from its local community (such as community organizations, churches, schools, local businesses, etc.).

INSciTE Illinois is pleased to offer scholarships to teams consisting mainly or entirely of students who come from a group or category that is underrepresented in science and technology and who have a financial need.
